Hey everyone! It’s that time of the year again. Tailgate Season! To honor this amazing time of the year, I’ve made some amazing bite-sized treats that are perfect for that next big game.
Mozzarella balls are my version of mozzarella sticks. These are also a lot easier to make than cheese sticks. They are very fun and simple to make and can be filling enough to eat as a grab-and-go meal, if you happen to eat enough of them. You can also easily make many of them if needed.
This dish was a personal family favorite. It was such a large hit that my dad wanted me to make more for dinner. I hope you all enjoy the cheese balls as much as my dad.Thank you again for reading, and supporting me, it means a lot.
I hope you all enjoy the mozzarella cheese balls, and I hope that you all have an amazing day. Remember to tag me in any photos that you post, and tell me how you all like them!
Cheesy Mozzarella Balls
Course: Appetizer/Snack Difficulty: Easy Time: 25 minutes Servings: 20
Ingredients:
- 3, 0.3 oz packages buttermilk biscuits
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano per ball
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt per ball
- 8 oz block mozzarella cheese
- (optional) Pizza sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray cooking sheet with cooking spray so the cheese balls don’t stick to the pan.
- Open the biscuit case and take out a biscuit. Make a small indentation with your thumb in the middle of the biscuit.
- Sprinkle with oregano and garlic salt where you made your indentation.
- Cut the mozzarella block into 20 small cubes. Place 1 cube in the center of the biscuit, where you made you indentation.
- Pinch dough tightly around the cheese to seal it, so no mozzarella can leak out.
- Place seam side down on the baking sheet.
- Place in the oven and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Take out of the oven and dip in pizza sauce. Serve and enjoy!
